| How to get there: |
Travel to Winklern/Möll valley
From Winklern, proceed to Iselsberg (in direction of Lienz). Shortly before the top of the pass, turn right (to the north) and follow the signs to the "Winklerner Alm" alpine pasture. |

| Ascent: |
From the Winklerner alpine pasture car park (1,830 m), make for the nearby Winklerner hut (1,907 m). From there the ascent to the summit is along the southern ridge. The SCHARZKOFELSEE LAKE OPTION: Starting from Strasskopf summit, follow the ridge (wonderful views) to the Grossbohnscharte (2,520 m). From there cross the short but steep slope down to Lake Schwarzkofelsee (2,436 m). |

Strasskopf: as for the ascent. SCHARZKOFELSEE LAKE OPTION: descent on the Viennese High-Altitude Footpath (no. 918), offering an easy walk down into the valley and to the Winklerner Hut, by way of the Raner alpine pasture. |
